MoreI admire the pain threshold of anybody who watched Jai Ho in theatres. They had to pay to watch two hours of mind-numbing bullshit.
Bollywood has perfected the lucrative masala movie formula to a tee. Preferably a remake of a South Indian action movie (why remake their good films, right?) the masala movie contains: an aging superstar, a pretty heroine (preferably an ex-model, since looks > acting chops), catchy songs, solid action, and able juggling of romance, comedy, and melodrama. Any two or three of this things ensure that the movie becomes a record-breaking blockbuster.
Needless to say, Jai Ho contains none of these things. It's yet another case of a superstar making the fatal mistake of thinking that the audience…
Remake of a Telugu movie 'Stalin' which has its core idea inspired from 'Pay It Forward', with most of the ingredients you would expect from a typical mass action entertainer that features Salman Khan. The movie works to some extent because of the good intentions it tries to convey in a positive manner, but to witness they guy who inspires the change itself, decides to let his fists do the talking most of the time in the narrative, is quite ironical. And all those good intentions are scattered around in a lazy manner owing most of it to the trembling screenplay and Sohail Khan's mediocre direction which at times make the proceedings look like its straight out of a cartoon.…
Jai Ho is as lazy and lacking in self-awareness as a movie can be. It ignores its own shallow grasp of morality to promote the message of every recent Salman Khan movie: the answer to government corruption is a single, violent man.

So, I made this decision of watching Jai Ho! and let me tell you that it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made in relation to watching films. Sohail 'Knows Nothing About Directing But Is Still Called a Talented Director' Khan and Salman 'Thinks He's a Brilliant Actor As Well As an Amazing Dancer But Can't Do More Than 2 Steps + He Also Can't Act' Khan both said that it's a very different film but quite frankly there's nothing I haven't seen before. You hear people say, 'different year, same bullshit.' Well, that's the case with this film and it isn't different at all. Not even a bit. The same masala film concept has been used, cliched…
This is a one man show movie with some supporting performance by Tabbu. This movie has a good message. Some things from this movie should have been omitted. I thing everyone can at least watch this movie one time. Instead of wasting money on movies like Dhoom 3 and chennai express which have message like ,this my Nokia lumia with price of 24,000 or Malang Malang. Watch this movie and tell three more people to watch this.
Salman is Rajnikanth Of BollywoodA complete mess, frankly. Tonally it's all over the place: it switches from wacky comedy to dead-serious drama so awkwardly and abruptly that it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. It's seemingly a story about learning to be good to others and how that can help improve society, but that's really just a sentiment expressed in passing between many, many scenes of Salman Khan beating the everloving shit out of every bad guy in sight.
Salman Khan's character (named Jai) is just weird in general. He's portrayed as a relentless do-gooder who has enough empathy and compassion to help out in situations that everyone chooses to ignore, but he's also portrayed as a savage animal. And…

At its heart Jai Ho is the story of how violence and vigilantism are completely justified if a man is certain he is in the right. This message is so in your face that this in itself made me squirm. It is, quite simply, fundamentally against my own beliefs and I believe this sort of thinking is behind much of the violence and toxic attitudes in the world.
Perhaps I wouldn't have hated this film quite as much if at least it engaged me on a story-level or if I fell in love with any of the characters or even if it had something interesting to offer stylistically, but it didn't do that either.
For a while now, I've been…1/10
An ex-army officer initiates a unique idea of propagating social responsibility among ordinary people and in doing so, crosses paths with a powerful political family.
A great who's who list of actors who are out-of-work.. except Bhai of course. Which can change if shit like this continues.
Worse than BB! Didn't think that was possible..
I like this movie, stories is good
There are many films which give message to society but what Jai Ho has did is really praiseworthy.A clean film with such a clean message....just entertained!
For the very first time,I am really satisfied with the performance of Salman Khan. The film has several scenes that will even make your eyes filled with tears, especially the climax. The music is just above average. Other stars like Danny and Mohnish Behl were good.Rest others were OK. The action is also very good.Sohail Khan has managed to make a 'film' after all.
On the whole,Jai Ho is a mass entertainer that lives to its expectations and doesn't disappoint you.Watch it,if not for Salman, then for its message.
